Switchboard keeps every date the FCC’s defence rests on: the written notice to every carrier the line runs on, each written application and its adult age check, each access code mailed only after that check, and every cancellation, stamped the moment it is made. A monthly defence file is signed only when nothing falls short.

The problem
Federal law makes it an offence to provide indecent telephone messages to minors, and 47 CFR 64.201 sets out the defence. The provider tells its carrier in writing, then restricts access to adults. For an access code, the code is mailed only after a written application shows the applicant is an adult, and any code is cancelled immediately on notice that it is lost, stolen, used by a minor or no longer wanted.
access codes go out only after a written application shows the applicant is an adult.
47 CFR 64.201 →a code is cancelled on notice it is lost, stolen, used by a minor or no longer wanted.
47 CFR 64.201 →A code cannot be recorded unless the written application and an adult age check are on file and dated first, and the code is mailed — not emailed, texted or read out. A cancellation slower than the house limit is flagged. The monthly defence file is refused while any carrier, code or cancellation falls short. There is no override.
How it works
The written application, the age check with the date of birth used and how it was checked, then the code mailed.
Every notice: when, how it came in, why. “Cancel it now” stamps the time.
The written notice to every carrier, and billing notification where it applies. Sign the defence file monthly.
What it will never do
Switchboard is the operator’s record. Whether a defence succeeds is a court’s call.

Questions
The rule’s defence for access codes is a code mailed after a written application shows the applicant is an adult. Email, text and reading it out are not that.
The rule says immediately. Switchboard flags anything slower than the house limit, four hours by default.
A new carrier needs its own written notice. Switchboard flags a carrier with none.
No. It is the file you wish you had kept.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, emailed to the address you give at checkout within two working days. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
The invented talk line never gave its new carrier written notice, mailed one code before its age check, sent another by email, and cancelled a code a minor was using three days late. Switchboard will not sign the month.
