Sentry keeps each security worker’s guard registration dates, the 32 hours of skills training due in the first six months and the 8 hours due every year — and will not confirm a door or floor shift while anybody on it is short that night.

The problem
In California a guard carries a valid, current registration on duty. Skills training is due in the first six months, a refresher every year, and the renewal has to be filed sixty days before the card expires — leave it sixty days past and it is cancelled. Door staff come and go every month, and the one with the lapsed card is always the one on the busiest night.
of security officer skills training within the first six months of registration — 16 within 30 days of starting if the guard has no certificates.
California BSIS →of continuing training every year, with the employer keeping the training records for as long as the guard works there.
California BSIS →A renewal is filed at least sixty days before expiry. A card not renewed within sixty days after expiry is cancelled, and the guard applies all over again.
California BSIS →Not a reminder. Confirm the shift refuses, with the reason beside it, while anybody on it has no registration issued, a card expired, or the 16, 32 or yearly 8 hours overdue — asked as of the shift night. Once confirmed, nobody short can be put on it. There is no override.
How it works
The day the registration was issued and the day it expires, the day they started here, and whether they arrived with certificates for the 32 hours.
Each block: date, hours, who gave it. Kept for as long as the guard works here — there is no delete.
Put guards on shifts. The shift confirms when everyone on it is carded and trained that night, and the due-dates list says what is coming before it bites.
What it will never do
The Bureau does the background check. Sentry keeps what an employer needs to know on a Friday night.
Pricing
Because high turnover should never make the board more expensive.
One club.
One club, door and floor teams.
Several clubs under one owner.
Flat fee, billed monthly. Never per guard or per shift. Your bank statement says Sentry Software. Your licence key is emailed to you within two working days of payment.
Checkout is our own bitcoin server, not a card processor — nobody we had to apply to and nobody who can close the account. The button takes you straight to it. Give your email address there — that is where your key is sent.
Questions
Then the agency is the employer and keeps the training records; Sentry still lets you refuse a shift to anybody whose card or hours the agency cannot show you.
Only once the Bureau has approved the registration, carrying the printout and photo ID. Sentry has a box for that; without an issued date the guard is not carded.
Sentry is built on the California rules. Other states license door staff differently; ask before you buy.
No. It is a board that argues with you. Read the Bureau’s rules with somebody who advises on them.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, emailed to the address you give at checkout within two working days. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
Two shifts tonight. The floor can be confirmed. The door cannot: Dre’s card expired on Sunday — the same Dre who worked the door last Friday. Lou’s yearly hours have run out, Nia is past her first thirty days with half the training, and Tasha’s renewal should already be filed.
