Fiftyfold plans a breach before it happens: members per state, each state’s notice rule — the days allowed, whether the attorney general is told too and from how many residents — the regulator’s address and a notice ready. When it happens, every notice it needs gets its own dated line, and the urgent ones go to the top.

The problem
All fifty states, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands require private businesses to notify people of security breaches. A membership site with members everywhere answers to all of them at once, and they differ in how many days the members have, whether a regulator is told too and from how many residents, and by when.
plus D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have breach notification laws for private businesses.
NCSL →many states give no fixed count of days — Fiftyfold uses your own target, marked as such.
many states require the attorney general or another office be told above a resident threshold.
The state table is a starting point, not legal advice, and the page says so. Each rule a site relies on is confirmed against the state’s own statute with one press. A state not in the table is filled in by hand, and the same state cannot be added twice. A notice late or due within ten days is urgent.
How it works
Members per state and each state’s rule from the starting table, confirmed against its statute.
Whether a notice is drafted for each state and where the regulator notice goes.
The day it was discovered and members by state; every notice it needs, dated, the urgent ones first.
What it will never do
Fiftyfold tells no one. It shows what is owed, to whom, and by when.

Questions
It starts with thirty states. Any other is filled in by hand from its own statute.
Fiftyfold uses your own target — thirty days unless you change it — and marks it as yours.
Each state’s regulator over its threshold. Fiftyfold lists every one with its date.
No. It is the plan you wish you had made.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, emailed to the address you give at checkout within two working days. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
The invented cam platform left a member export public 22 days ago with four notices due inside ten days, never confirmed Florida’s rule, has Georgia missing from the table, and told an old incident late.
