Circuit Permit Wallet
For feature and travelling dancers

Booked in Houston on the Thursday. Permit ran out on the Tuesday.

Circuit keeps every city permit and work card you hold — what it is, when it runs out, what renewing costs and how long it takes — and will not confirm a booking in a city whose permit will not be good on every night of it.

The problem

One permit per city, each on its own clock.

Many cities license entertainers separately. Each permit is good in one city, runs on its own expiry, costs its own fee to renew and is often renewed in person with a background check that takes days. Touring means juggling five of them against a calendar that changes every week — and finding out at the club door that one has lapsed.

2 years

Houston’s sexually-oriented-business entertainer permit is valid for two years and is renewed in person.

One city

A city work card is valid only where it was issued — and in Las Vegas, only for the job type it was issued for.

Will not confirm a booking the permit does not cover.

Not a reminder. The Confirm button refuses, with the reason beside it, while the city’s permit has lapsed, starts too late, or runs out part way through the run — or while there is no permit on file for that city at all and you have not checked that it needs none. Asked for every night of the run. There is no override.

How it works

Three lists, one calendar

Put every permit in

City, what it is, who issues it, when it runs out, what renewing costs, how many days it takes, and how it is done. No numbers, no pictures.

Pencil in the bookings

City, club and nights. Each one says at once whether the permit covers it, and why not if it does not.

Renew in time

Every permit gets a start-by date — the day it runs out, less the days that city takes, less a week of margin — with the bookings that depend on it beside it.

What it will never do

It keeps dates. Never your papers.

Your permit card stays in your bag. Circuit keeps the dates that matter about it and nothing anybody could use to find you.

No permit numbers. No number, no picture, no copy. There is nowhere to put one.
No legal name.A stage name, if you want one on the screen at all.
It does not book anything. It does not talk to clubs or agents. It tells you whether the booking you are offered is one you can work.
It never touches a payment. It lists what renewals will cost. It never takes, holds or sends money.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

Does Circuit know which cities need a permit?

No, and it will not pretend to. Rules differ by city and change. A city with no permit on file is treated as needing one until you list it, after checking, as a city that needs none.

What if a permit runs out in the middle of a run?

Then it does not cover the run, and the booking is refused until the renewal is entered. Every night counts.

Can my agent use it?

The Agency plan gives one copy per dancer. Each dancer’s permits stay in that dancer’s copy.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is a wallet that argues with you. Check each city’s own rules before you travel.

What do I actually get when I pay?

The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, emailed to the address you give at checkout within two working days. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.

The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.

Open the demo on a Sunday, planning the month

Houston in ten days is covered. The Houston run after it is not, because the same permit runs out on its third night — and the renewal has to be started inside eight days to be back in time. Dallas lapsed ten days ago, and Phoenix has no permit on file at all.
