Chit reconciles the night’s in-house vouchers — sold, surcharged, cashed out, and the count left in the safe — holds every cash-out to the deduction the club posted, and gives each dancer her own slip with exactly the numbers the club sees.

The problem
Clubs sell vouchers on a card, often with a surcharge, and dancers cash them in at the end of the night less a house deduction — one club took 15%, turning $250 into $212. The arguments are always the same: what was the rate that night, was it applied to everybody, does the voucher count add up, and did the dancer ever see the numbers.
the processing fee many clubs add when a customer buys house currency on a card.
MEL Magazine →Dancers report underpayment and charges called “cancelled” at payout; some clubs have been sued over the exchange.
MEL Magazine →Not a reminder. Close the night refuses, with the reason beside it, while the voucher count does not agree, any cash-out was paid at other than the posted rate without a note, or any dancer has not initialled her slip. A cash-out at the wrong rate is refused at the counter. A rate cannot be back-dated. There is no override.
How it works
The cash-out deduction and the card surcharge, with the day they start. Never earlier than today: a night already worked keeps its rate.
Dancer, face value, cash paid. Chit shows what the posted rate says she is owed; anything else is refused without a note.
The safe count agrees, every slip is initialled by the dancer it belongs to, and the night is frozen.
What it will never do
Chit is a ledger for the house and a receipt for the dancer. It never sells a voucher or touches a card.
Pricing
The house takes its rate. Chit does not take one.
One club.
One club, several managers closing.
Several clubs under one owner.
Flat fee, billed monthly. Never a share of vouchers. Your bank statement says Chit Software. Your licence key is emailed to you within two working days of payment.
Checkout is our own bitcoin server, not a card processor — nobody we had to apply to and nobody who can close the account. The button takes you straight to it. Give your email address there — that is where your key is sent.
Questions
No. The club posts it. Chit makes sure every cash-out that night was paid at it, and shows the dancer the same figure.
Press Pay the difference: the slip records the correction and the day it was made. The night cannot close until it is put right or explained.
Yes. The Dancers’ slips page shows each dancer every cash-out, the rate that night, what she was owed and what she was paid.
No. How house currency is taxed, and whether a deduction is lawful where you are, is for your adviser.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, emailed to the address you give at checkout within two working days. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
The rate went from 10% to 12% three weeks ago and every night since has reconciled. Tonight has not: one cash-out was paid at the old 10%, one dancer has not seen her slip, and the safe has not been counted.
