Bootleg Leak finder and takedown filer
For adult creators whose paid sets keep turning up on leak sites

Your paid set is on a leak site again. Bootleg already sent the notice.

Give Bootleg your catalogue and the leak sites to watch. Every day it reads those pages, recognises your pictures and video frames even resized or mirrored, files a DMCA notice to each site in your name, checks what came down, and mails you the report.

Nothing opens in this browser — this one takes a job and does the work on our own graphics cards in Oregon. The free allowance below is how you try it: 200 pages, no card and no payment, on the key you are issued.

Runs on this computer today. It reads the open web and sends notices when three pieces are in place — see below.

The problem

Finding the copies is the job nobody has time for.

Writing a takedown notice takes five minutes. Finding the forty pages your set was reposted to takes a whole evening, and it has to be done again next week. Agencies charge a monthly retainer to do it by hand. Bootleg does it every day, the same way every time.

64 bits

All Bootleg keeps of a picture is a 64-bit fingerprint. Your catalogue is never stored, and nothing it reads off a leak site is either.

Mirrored

A resized, recompressed or mirrored copy is still caught. A picture edited further is shown to you as a possible match — never noticed on a guess.

14 days

Still up two weeks after the notice? The second one goes to the company hosting the site, the next rung up.

Shut to the world until three things exist.

Bootleg reads the open web and sends notices only once every picture it handles is checked against known abuse material with PhotoDNA, it has a mailbox to send from, and it has a public https address. Until then it reads pages on this computer only and writes the notices without sending them, and it says so.

How it works

Catalogue, sites, sign

Add your catalogue

Pictures, or videos read one frame every ten seconds. Each is fingerprinted and thrown away.

Name the sites

The pages where your name turns up, and the site's copyright address. Add your own shop to the allowed list.

Sign once

Your name, your contact details and the two sworn statements the law asks for. From then on strong matches are noticed on their own.

What it will never do

It files notices. It never files a wrong one.

A notice is a statement made under penalty of perjury in your name, so Bootleg is careful with it.

No guesses.Only a strong match is noticed on its own. A possible one waits for your answer.
Never your own shop.Anything on your allowed list is left alone, every time.
No notice without your signature.Until you sign, matches are found and listed, and nothing is filed.
No pictures kept.Fingerprints only — of your catalogue and of everything it reads.

Pricing

Per page read, in packs

A unit is one page Bootleg reads. A page it could not read is free, and notices are never charged.

Paid in bitcoin through our own checkout; the pages are added to your key as soon as the payment confirms. Your licence key is emailed to you within two working days of payment.

Checkout is our own bitcoin server, not a card processor. The units you buy are added to your key: buy from the Buy more box inside the program and they arrive on their own once the payment confirms, or buy here and paste the invoice number from your receipt into that box.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

Does it catch a cropped copy?

A light crop, often. A heavy crop, no — and a copy edited past certainty is shown to you as a possible match rather than noticed. We would rather miss one than file a wrong notice in your name.

Which sites does it watch?

The ones you name. You give it the pages where your work turns up — a search for your name, a tag page — and it reads those and the posts they link to.

Who is the notice from?

From you, signed by you, sent by Bootleg with your email as the reply address.

What does a takedown cost?

Nothing. You pay for pages read. Notices, second notices and re-checks are included.

What do I actually get when I pay?

A key. One line of text, issued to you and shown exactly once — only its hash is kept here, so it cannot be looked up later and we could not tell you what yours is. Every key arrives with a free allowance already on it, which is the tier at the top of the pricing above, and the work starts the first time you send a job with that key on it.

Each job is metered in the unit named in the pricing, and a unit that fails — a file that will not read, a row the model held back — is not charged and is named in the job report rather than silently skipped. When an allowance runs out the next job is refused before any work starts, with the number it used printed on the refusal.

More units are bought in bitcoin. The checkout is a bitcoin server we run ourselves. Buy from the Buy more box inside the program and the units are added to your key on their own as soon as the payment confirms; buy from the plan buttons above and paste the invoice number from your receipt into that same box. Each payment adds its units once, to one key.
