Most states tax a nonresident on pay for work done there, each with its own filing line. Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming have no income tax on it. For every other state, decide from that state's own nonresident instructions - file, or set the line, or write down why not.
