Licensing bodies write and call for months before they sue - BMI said it contacted one Illinois club owner more than 45 times. Write every contact down the day it comes. Each one gets an answer by its date, or is filed with a reason. A certified letter, a cease and desist or lawsuit papers can never be filed without an answer.
